NEW YORK —
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the New York Declaration confirms that Gaza and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, are one indivisible Palestinian land.

Prince Faisal made his remarks as he co-chaired a high-level ministerial meeting of the Global Alliance to Implement the Two-State Solution on Wednesday.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly, was chaired by Prince Faisal alongside the European Union and Norway.

“We meet today one year after launching our joint initiative (the Global Alliance to Implement the Two-State Solution), which the Kingdom is honored to co-chair with the EU and Norway, and just days after the General Assembly adopted the New York Declaration—a historic international consensus to end the occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state,” Prince Faisal said in his opening remarks.

He described the declaration as a clear mandate to turn consensus into binding commitments and accountability mechanisms. “Issuing statements is not enough unless they translate into real action that changes the reality of occupation and its aggression,” he said.

The Saudi foreign minister noted that the meeting followed the peace summit co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, which resulted in widespread recognition of the State of Palestine.

He stressed that this momentum reinforces international determination to uphold Palestinians’ right to self-determination.

Prince Faisal condemned Israel’s “ongoing genocide, famine, and violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites,” adding that recent attacks had even targeted the sovereignty of Arab states, “most recently the State of Qatar.”

He said the meeting aimed to coordinate efforts and set out concrete implementation mechanisms, performance indicators, and clear accountability timelines, while continuing joint work across regional and international capitals.

The minister reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s categorical rejection of any attempts at annexation, settlement expansion, or forced displacement, and called for empowering the Palestinian Authority, supporting the Arab-Islamic recovery and reconstruction plan, and establishing an international accountability mechanism with clear timelines.

Prince Faisal concluded by stressing that the Kingdom will continue leading its diplomatic and humanitarian efforts tirelessly “to establish an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, paving the way for just and lasting peace, shared security, and prosperity for all peoples of the region.”
