Saudi Arabia celebrates National Day with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm

Saudi Arabia celebrated its 95th National Day on Tuesday in a vibrant and patriotic atmosphere, reflecting deep pride in the nation and its leadership. Across the Kingdom, cities witnessed massive public participation in a wide array of events, including air, sea, and land displays, spectacular fireworks, as well as artistic performances and musical evenings. Neighborhoods, streets, and buildings across the Kingdom were adorned with the national flag in celebration of the National Day, which falls on September 23 every year.

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) announced that the celebrations were a resounding success, featuring presentation of diverse and comprehensive programs. Highlights included spectacular air shows and maritime displays along the Red Sea coast. Land marches, accompanied by stirring patriotic music, added further energy and flavor to the festivities.

The celebrations reached their climax with a synchronized fireworks display across 13 cities, lighting up the skies at exactly 9:00 p.m. The dazzling pyrotechnics created a visually stunning tribute that stirred patriotic emotion and brought joy to citizens, residents and visitors alike.

As part of the Jeddah Mayoralty’s National Day celebrations, riders participated in a horse show at the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Square, carrying the Kingdom’s flag, portraits of the leadership, and banners featuring national slogans.

At the Obhur Waterfront, the mayoralty’s National Day activities saw widespread participation from residents and visitors, who actively engaged with competitions, interactive games, and visual displays celebrating the occasion. Jeddah’s main roads and squares were adorned with over 500 electronic and digital screens displaying images of the Kingdom’s leadership and messages celebrating the nation’s renaissance and achievements.

The Jeddah City adorned its squares, main roads, and waterfronts with over 3,000 flags. A total of 2,200 lighting fixtures illuminated buildings and historic roads, while 400 screens broadcast live festivities across the city. Residents and visitors participated in over 100 events, which included traditional folk performances celebrating Saudi heritage, as well as cultural and sporting activities.

Along the Jeddah waterfront, lights in white and green danced in harmony with the waves, creating a stunning scene. The city's districts also came alive with local initiatives and decorations on historic and architectural landmarks.

Fireworks lit up the skies of Dammam last night as part of the General Entertainment Authority's National Day celebrations. The display, held on the Dammam waterfront, drew large crowds of residents and visitors. Attendees enjoyed the colorful show in an atmosphere filled with national pride and a sense of belonging.

The Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the GEA, concluded the “Ezz Al Watan” event and its accompanying exhibition, held as part of the National Day celebrations. The event featured a creative orchestral military performance simulating security operations, showcasing the latest tactical maneuvers and visually impressive skills that demonstrate the ministry’s field readiness and advanced security capabilities.

The exhibition highlighted the ministry’s ongoing efforts to develop its security systems and enhance its services, underscoring its vital role in maintaining national security and delivering high-quality services.
