RIYADH — After days of anticipation, Al Nassr has officially completed one of the most significant signings in the winter window of the Saudi Pro League, securing Colombian striker Jhon Durán from Aston Villa for a record fee of €77 million.
The 20-year-old forward successfully passed his medical examination in London, paving the way for his high-profile move to the Riyadh-based club.
Durán is expected to make his debut for Al Nassr against Al Wasl (UAE) on Monday in the AFC Champions League Elite clash, set to take place at Al Awwal Park.
In a welcome video shared by the club, it was revealed that the Colombian striker will wear the legendary No. 9 jersey, previously worn by club icon Majid Abdullah.
The young forward has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with an annual salary of €15 million, signaling his long-term commitment to Al Nassr and the Saudi football project.
Durán has been in impressive form this season, scoring 12 goals in 29 matches for Aston Villa, including seven goals as a starter.
Since joining Aston Villa from Chicago Fire in January 2023 for £17 million, Durán has netted 20 goals in 78 appearances, cementing his reputation as one of the most promising young strikers in world football.
