JEDDAH —
The Saudi national football team launched its training camp on Friday evening in Jeddah as part of preparations for the first and second rounds of the third stage of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Saudi Arabia will host Indonesia on September 5 at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, before facing China away on September 10 at Dalian Suoyuan Stadium.

On the field, the team held its first training session at the training pitch of King Abdullah Sports City under the guidance of head coach Roberto Mancini. The session was attended by the President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al-Misehal, and Secretary-General Ibrahim Al-Qasim.

The training session began with warm-up exercises followed by passing drills. The players then engaged in a series of tactical exercises before dividing into two groups to play on half of the pitch, concluding with stretching exercises.

The national team will continue its preparation with a closed evening training session on Saturday at King Abdullah Sports City.
