KUALA LUMPUR — The Saudi dodgeball national team achieved a historic milestone by winning the silver medal at the 2025 Asian Dodgeball Championships in Malaysia, which concluded on Sunday after four days of intense competition.
The achievement marks the first continental medal in Saudi dodgeball history, reflecting the sport’s remarkable growth and rising competitiveness within the Kingdom in recent years.
The national team impressed throughout the tournament with strong performances against some of Asia’s most experienced sides, showcasing skill, determination, and a spirit that embodies the rapid progress of Saudi dodgeball since its inception.
The Saudi Dodgeball Federation credited the success to the increasing number of players across the Kingdom and the federation’s ongoing efforts to promote the sport and discover emerging talent.
Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz, President of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, congratulated the players for their outstanding continental performance, praising their high level of play and sportsmanship.
Prince Saud emphasized that this achievement—finishing runners-up in Asia—will serve as a powerful motivation to elevate ambitions in future international competitions, affirming that it will not be the last milestone for Saudi dodgeball, as the team continues striving for further success on the global stage.
