ALAHSA —
n the opening match of the second round of the Saudi Professional League, Al-Fateh secured a precious win against their guest, Al-Ahli, at the Al-Fateh Club Stadium in Al-Ahsa. The game's only goal was scored by Cape Verdean striker Djaniny Tavares.

Al-Fateh bounced back from their previous defeat against Al-Qadsiah, where they lost 3-0, by capturing three valuable points against Al-Ahli. This victory halted Al-Ahli’s momentum following their morale-boosting win against Al-Orobah in the first round.

The decisive moment came in the 55th minute when Nouh Al-Mousa delivered a short pass to Djaniny outside the penalty area.

Djaniny fired a powerful shot that deflected off Al-Ahli's Brazilian defender Ibanez, altering the ball’s trajectory and sending it into the net, marking the match's solitary goal.
