JUBAIL — A missing old man was found dead in Jubail in the Eastern Province.

The Forsan Sharqiah Association for Search and Rescue revealed that it had found the body of Omar Sirajuddeen, aged 82, in the Al-Fadhili area, 35 km from Jubail.

Speaking to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, Adel Al-Qahtani, executive director of the association, said: “We had received information at around 7:30 on Monday that an old man was missing from the Jubail Industrial City. Immediately after receiving the information, members of the association started a massive search and that resulted in spotting the missing car of the octogenarian,” he said.

Al-Qahtani said that the searching team then changed their plan and started searching on foot for the missing person. After 20 minutes of searching, association member Marai Al-Shehri was able to find the missing person dead. “We thank everyone who participated with us in this mission as well as the government agencies such as the Jubail Police, Criminal Investigation Department, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, and the Association of Professionals for Search and Rescue.”
