BAGHDAD — Officials say bombings in and around Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, have killed at least eight people. Police say a bomb near a restaurant killed three civilians and wounded eight on Tuesday in the northwestern Shula neighborhood. They say a bomb also killed three civilians and wounded nine in a commercial area in Youssifiyah, 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Baghdad. Police say another bomb hit a police patrol in Madain, about 20 kilometers (14 miles) southeast of Baghdad, killing a police officer and a civilian and wounding five. Medical officials confirmed the casualty figures. — AP
