JEDDAH — Relations between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain are stronger than ever, according to Bahrain’s consul general. Marking the country’s 43rd National Day on Tuesday in Jeddah.



Ibrahim Al-Meslmany spoke about bilateral relations and the deep-rooted connections between the two royal families.



“Our celebration today embodies the achievements by the Kingdom of Bahrain in all sectors that have provided the Bahraini people with all pride,” he said.



Al-Meslmany and a consulate team received guests and took photos with them at the event organized by the Bahraini Consulate.



The ceremony began with the Bahraini and Saudi national anthems. Al-Meslmany and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah Province Ambassador Mohammad Ahmad Tayeb cut the celebration cake with other consuls general.



Dec. 16 marks the National Day and the 15th anniversary of King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s accession to the throne.



Consuls general of Gulf countries, Arab and non-Arab countries as well as many major Saudi and Bahraini businessmen, members of the community in Jeddah and media attended the celebrations at the city’s Park Hyatt Hotel.
