RIYADH — A new convoy of Saudi humanitarian aid from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) crossed the Rafah Border Crossing on Wednesday. The convoy carries large quantities of food baskets en route to the southeast of the Gaza Strip, in preparation for entry into the enclave.
The delivery is being coordinated with the Egyptian Red Crescent, as part of the Saudi popular campaign to support the Palestinian people. This assistance coincides with the establishment of Saudi camps in Al-Qarara area south of the Gaza Strip and in Al-Mawasi area, aimed at sheltering displaced persons and providing them with humanitarian assistance amid the onset of the winter season.
The aid represents an extension of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian efforts carried out through KSrelief to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, who are facing harsh humanitarian conditions that particularly threaten children and women amid cold weather and difficult living circumstances.
