Saudi Gazette reportRIYADH — The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) foiled an attempt to smuggle 47,927 amphetamine (Captagon) pills at the Al-Haditha border crossing after the drugs were found hidden inside a truck entering the Kingdom, the agency said.Spokesman Hamoud Al-Harbi said the shipment was intercepted during customs procedures using security screening technologies and live detection means.The pills were concealed within the truck’s consignment, he added.Following the seizure, ZATCA coordinated with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to ensure the arrest of the intended recipients inside the Kingdom.
