JEDDAH — The Egyptian Consul General Adel El-Alfy held a reception ceremony as part of “Francophone Week” events at the consulate general recently.

This year the reception hosted an art gallery titled “I attended These” by Egyptian cartoonist and engineer Saad Sidawy.

The art gallery featured a number of heritage sites that characterized Egyptian society but are diminishing rapidly.

The cultural bureau has printed a booklet in both Arabic and French on the paintings of the heritage sites to let the upcoming generation know about their rich culture.

The book was printed to the visitors at the gallery.

Consuls general of many Arab and non-Arab countries, especially Francophone countries, along with Saudi and Egyptian businessmen attended the event.

The art gallery carries memories of Egypt, its culture and heritage that have been established in the minds of Egyptians for decades.
