JEDDAH — "We Are One," an initiative to support disabled children, took place here with sports competitions on Thursday.



The aim of the initiative was to integrate and effectively give children and people with disabilities the chance to participate in society and social activities. Resalet Amal Center, Sesame Gate Center and Center for Dumb Women in Jeddah participated in the event.



Medals and prizes were presented to the winners by "We Are One", which will also host similar events in Riyadh and Dammam.



Mohammad Fawzi Bawazir, chairman of Mohammad Bawazir Trade, said: “Vitaene C participation in such a momentous activity comes within the framework of the company’s social responsibility undertaken by the company on an ongoing basis.”



He added: "We always provide all forms of support and assistance to community segments, especially to disabled children as we believe in encouragement as the path to creativity and excellence. They need to be encouraged first and foremost to be prompt into integration and creativity."



The initiative eyes to promote understanding about disability and to mobilize the necessary support to ensure the dignity of people with disabilities, rights and well-being.



In addition, it also aims to raise awareness about the benefits that can be derived from the integration of people with disabilities in all aspects of life.
