JEDDAH — Saudi businesswoman Latifah Alwalaan, who owns Yatooq Enterprise, bagged the fifth position in the the Commercial Creative Business Cup Event held recently in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Commercial Creative Business Cup Competition is dedicated to entrepreneurs operating in a creative field in order to enhance their creativity skills and help them explore their talents and create business opportunities.
A total of 42 countries participated in this year's competition. The selection criterion for successful creative firms includes the authenticity of the idea, the need of the market, and the possibility of marketing and viability of developing of such idea.
Alwalaan was presented with a bouquet by Prince of Denmark. Other countries who were in the top five were Croatia, Germany, Denmark, and Italy.
"This bouquet of rose would not reach me without you (referring to Yatooq Saudi Team). I feel intrigued by competing with others...to make our culture known apart from Saudi Arabia national product oil," said Alwalaan.
Tuba Uzlemturkly, co-founder and CEO of the enterprise, stated that her company is dedicated to creative enterprise as it caters to market that cherishes high value products and services. It also helps in the creation of job opportunities.
May Omar Taiba, head of Education and Research at Qotuf Alreyadah, and the manager of the Saudi Creative Business Cup, said the achievement of her company in an international competition is something that should be celebrated. "We indeed managed to reflect the Saudi environment in this field and we feel proud that the Saud iproduct was hailed by others."
