MAKKAH — The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques announced that the number of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques during the month of Rajab 1447 AH reached 78,843,425. These statistical figures reflect the high turnout and the success of the authority’s approved operational and organizational plans.

Out of this figure, a total of 14,875,003 pilgrims performed Umrah, while the number of worshipers at the Grand Mosque reached 34,954,367, including 54,402 worshipers at the Hijr Ismail (the semi-circular wall adjacent to the Kaaba).

The number of worshipers at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah reached 25,074,929, while 1,293,867 worshipers prayed in the Rawdah Al-Sharifah. The number of visitors who offered greetings to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his two companions (may God be pleased with them) reached 2,590,857.
