JERUSALEM — An Israeli military helicopter crashed during a recovery operation near Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank on Friday, the Israeli army said.
The Black Hawk helicopter went down while being airlifted after making an emergency landing because of bad weather, the Times of Israel reported quoting military sources.
During the recovery operation, the damaged helicopter was being carried by another aircraft using a cable when it became detached and crashed to the ground. No injuries were reported.
Israeli Air Force chief Tomer Bar has ordered the establishment of a military investigative committee to examine the incident, the report said. — Agencies
