RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce announced on Wednesday that it had conducted 173 recall campaigns for defective products through its Defective Products Recall Center during the year 2025.
The ministry said that the campaigns resulted in the recall of 284,000 vehicles and more than 129,000 defective products. This represents a 13 percent increase in the response rate to recall campaigns during 2025.
The ministry indicated that major defective products that were recalled include 88,500 electrical appliances, 6,000 household appliances, and 4,800 solar panels. The campaigns were part of its ongoing efforts to enhance consumer safety and protect them from potential risks.
