RIYADH —The National Center for Security Operations (NCSO) had received as many as 2,746,207 calls through the unified emergency number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province in December 2025.

This is part of the responsibilities of the unified security operations centers 911, which receive calls and forward them to the appropriate security and service agencies. The call volumes received were 823,126 in Makkah, 225,808 in Madinah, 1,180,560 in Riyadh, and 516,713 in the Eastern Province.

The NCSO, under the Ministry of Interior, monitors the security situation in all regions of Saudi Arabia. It co-ordinates with the security authorities and other relevant government bodies to deal with emergencies as required by the security situation.
