RIYADH —There has been a record increase of 34.5 percent in net inflows of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Saudi Arabia, reaching SR24.9 billion during the third quarter of 2025, compared to SR18.5 billion in the third quarter of 2024.

This was revealed in the foreign direct investment statistics bulletin for the third quarter of 2025, issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) on Wednesday. The net FDI inflows in the third quarter of 2025 increased by 5.2 percent compared to the previous quarter of this year, which saw inflows of SR 23.7 billion.

According to the report, the value of inflows of FDI reached approximately SR27.7 billion during the third quarter of 2025, a 4.4 percent increase compared to the same quarter of 2024, when inflows amounted to SR 26.5 billion, and a 3.3 percent increase compared to the previous quarter, which recorded SR 26.8 billion.

The bulletin indicated that the value of outflows amounted to about SR2.7 billion during the same quarter, recording a decrease of 65.7 percent compared to the third quarter of 2024, when its value stood at SR8 billion, and it also decreased by 11.4 percent compared to the second quarter of this year, which recorded SR3.1 billion.
