RIYADH — The Transport General Authority (TGA) has urged all customers and delivery service users in Saudi Arabia to activate their national address to ensure smooth and accurate delivery of parcels before the mandatory requirement takes effect in early 2026.
The authority had previously announced that beginning January 2026, all parcel delivery companies will be prohibited from accepting or transporting any shipment that does not include a verified national address.
The measure is part of broader efforts to improve sector efficiency and enhance service quality for beneficiaries.
The TGA said the decision is a strategic step aimed at improving customer experience, accelerating delivery processes, and reducing unnecessary communication between couriers and recipients.
The authority stressed that the move will help companies achieve higher accuracy and greater operational flow in parcel handling.
It added that individuals can access or verify their national address through four digital platforms: Absher, Tawakkalna, Sehhaty, and SPL (Saudi Post’s S+ address system).
The authority called on all residents to ensure their address information is updated and activated ahead of the implementation deadline.
