JEDDAH — Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh received Pakistan’s Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Zaman in Jeddah on Thursday.
They discussed a number of topics of mutual interest, particularly cooperation in Islamic affairs, the exchange of expertise in dawah programs, and efforts to promote moderation and combat extremism.
Al-Sheikh highlighted the strong fraternal ties between the two countries and their cooperation in all fields, especially in Islamic work. He stressed that the Kingdom, under its wise leadership, gives great attention to everything that serves Pakistan. He also noted the deep religious sentiment of the Pakistani people, which calls for further fruitful cooperation to promote the values of authentic Islamic brotherhood and strengthen the principles of moderation and tolerance.
For his part, the Pakistani minister praised the Kingdom and its leadership for their support for Pakistan across various fields. He said that the Kingdom’s continued support for religious, humanitarian, and development initiatives, and its standing as a global model in advancing the values of tolerance and coexistence among peoples, is a source of pride and appreciation for all.
