RIYADH — The Saudi National Center for Security Operations (NCSO), under the Ministry of Interior, has received a total of 2,720,218 calls via the unified emergency number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province during the last month of November.
This is part of the responsibilities of the Unified Security Operations Centers (911), which receive calls and transfer them to the appropriate security and service agencies using advanced automated systems operated by a specialized team in several languages with high accuracy and professionalism around the clock.
The number of calls received reached 837,867 in the Makkah region; 219,633 in the Madinah region; 1,152,187 in the Riyadh region; and 510,531 in the Eastern Province, totaling 2,720,218 calls across all the four regions.
It is noteworthy that the National Center for Security Operations monitors the security situation in all regions of Saudi Arabia. It co-ordinates with the security authorities and other relevant government bodies to deal with emergencies as required by the security situation.
The National Center for Security Operations currently operates in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, with plans for rapid expansion. Staffed by trained professionals and utilizing advanced technology, the centers provide integrated security and humanitarian services with remarkable speed and efficiency. Calls to 911 are answered within two seconds, and reports are relayed to relevant agencies within 45 seconds, significantly improving emergency response times.
