RIYADH — Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced the start of the table read for the upcoming anti-narcotics film Al-Oyoun Al-Sahira (“The Watchful Eyes”), a feature inspired by a true story taken from the case files of Saudi Arabia’s drug enforcement officers.

The announcement comes as filming is set to begin next week, generating broad attention as one of the most anticipated Saudi cinematic projects.

Alalshikh thanked Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Minister of Interior, for his strong support for the production, along with ministry personnel and anti-narcotics officers.

He said the film aims to portray the sacrifices of security forces and bring their efforts to the big screen in a way that reflects their dedication and courage.

He added that the title Al-Oyoun Al-Sahira honors the vital role played by the Ministry of Interior’s officers in safeguarding the community.

The film will be shot entirely in the Kingdom and is expected to deliver a compelling artistic experience that highlights the heroism of Saudi security forces and introduces their efforts in combating crime to audiences around the world.
