RIYADH — Saudi Shoura Council Speaker Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sheikh held an official meeting with Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Speaker Ahmad Muzani in Riyadh on Monday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further enhance bilateral relations, expand cooperation across various fields, and strengthen parliamentary collaboration. They also addressed several issues of common interest.
At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Al-Sheikh welcomed his Indonesian counterpart and the accompanying delegation, underscoring the importance of such visits in strengthening the long-standing relations between the two countries and their peoples. He highlighted the active role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing areas of cooperation and reviewed the Kingdom’s notable progress across legislative, investment, and development fields under its wise leadership.
For his part, Muzani expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and voiced his pleasure at visiting the Kingdom. He emphasized the deep historical ties linking the two countries. He commended the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for their continuous efforts in serving Islam and Muslims and in facilitating services for pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
