Saudi Gazette report
RIYADH — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the ongoing violations committed by the Israeli occupation forces and extremist settlers against the Palestinian people.
In a statement, the ministry specially noted the latest violation of storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards and the provocation of worshippers there, as well as the reprehensible assault on the Hajjah Hamidah Mosque in the Palestinian village of Kifl Hares in the West Bank.
Saudi Arabia affirmed that the continuation of these assaults without deterrence undermines the international and regional efforts aimed at achieving peace, and leads to increasing tensions and perpetuation of the cycle of conflict. The Kingdom also warned that the international community’s silence regarding these practices, and the absence of accountability mechanisms amid ongoing Israeli violations and assaults, weakens the foundations of the international order and undermines the principles of international legitimacy.
Saudi Arabia reiterated its firm position in supporting the Palestinian people and in continuing its efforts toward establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
