Al-Samaani, WIPO chief sign deal to strengthen cooperation

GENEVA — Saudi Minister of Justice Walid Al-Samaani and Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Daren Tang signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate in publishing judicial rulings related to intellectual property.

The deal is also aimed to contribute to knowledge exchange and the development of judicial practices at the local and international levels. The MoU was signed during their meeting at WIPO headquarters in Geneva.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed key developments in Saudi Arabia’s judicial sector, supported by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and followed up by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, particularly in the area of specialized legislation.
