Saudi Gazette report
RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce has slapped fines on two online stores for delaying the delivery of sold products to consumers within the legally stipulated timeframe. A fine of SR46,000 was imposed on each store, and a warning notice was served to them for failing to meet their obligations.

The ministry had received two complaints pertaining to the stores, which sell electrical and electronic appliances. The committee reviewing violations of the e-commerce regulations found that the stores had failed to deliver the sold products within the legally mandated timeframe and had canceled orders without refunding customers.

The ministry instructed the stores to contact the ministry and address the consumer complaints in an urgent manner.
