RIYADH — Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Health Holding Company (HHC) Fahad Al-Jalajel announced the launch of the world’s first health service that provides a healthy lifestyle prescription alongside medical prescriptions. The announcement was made on the opening day of the eighth edition of the Global Health Exhibition on Monday.
The service aims to improve the quality of life for individuals with common chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol. This initiative reflects the role of HHC and its affiliated health clusters in providing comprehensive healthcare that extends beyond medication.
This innovative service facilitates the implementation of treatment protocols within the Saudi healthcare model, which prioritizes people’s well-being, enhances the quality and accessibility of integrated healthcare services, and reinforces the principle of prevention before treatment, in line with the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
The new service enables individuals to manage their health and access integrated care. Alongside the traditional medical prescription, it offers personalized guidance on nutrition, physical activity, healthy sleep, and stress management, contributing to a better quality of life and reduced health complications.
Beneficiaries can easily access the service after visiting their physician at primary healthcare centers or hospitals through the Sehhaty platform, which provides information in clear, accessible language to encourage healthier lifestyle choices.
