Media minister receives People’s Daily president as Chinese newspaper opens regional office in Riyadh

RIYADH —
Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary received President of the Chinese People’s Daily Press Yu Shaoliang and his accompanying delegation on Thursday, marking the inauguration of the newspaper’s new regional office in Riyadh.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance media cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China, including partnerships in digital media, news content exchange, professional training, and joint production.
They also explored areas of alignment between Saudi Vision 2030 and China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

The two officials emphasized that the opening of the People’s Daily regional office in Riyadh represents a significant step toward strengthening media and cultural ties between the two countries.
The new office will help provide accurate coverage of progress and developments in both nations across various sectors.
