The General Department of Traffic has revealed that using mobile phone while driving was among the three major causes of traffic accidents that occurred in the Makkah region during the year 2024.
RIYADH — The General Department of Traffic has revealed that using mobile phone while driving was among the three major causes of traffic accidents that occurred in the Makkah region during the year 2024.
The department stated that sudden swerving and not leaving sufficient distance between vehicles were the other major causes of road accidents in the holy city of Makkah, as well as in the governorates of Jeddah and Taif in the Makkah region.
The department called on drivers to adhere to traffic laws and regulations and traffic safety on roads in all regions across the Kingdom
