COLUMBUS —
Saudi student Areej Abdullah Al-Qarni has been selected for the second consecutive year to participate in a high-level panel discussion with global experts in science, technology, and medicine at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025), held this year in Columbus, Ohio.

Chosen from among hundreds of students worldwide, Al-Qarni’s selection underscores her outstanding performance and continued excellence in scientific research.

She is part of a 41-member Saudi national team competing alongside over 1,700 students from 70 countries for top awards at the world’s largest platform for high school research and innovation.

This year, Al-Qarni is presenting a project focused on carbon capture through cooling—an innovative approach to mitigating climate change.

As part of the Innovation and Technology Forum, Al-Qarni will join a select group of students given the opportunity to question leading global figures in science and entrepreneurship.

The forum connects the world’s brightest young minds with decision-makers and pioneers in the innovation ecosystem.

ISEF offers participants a unique global stage to present cutting-edge research evaluated by an elite panel of international experts, reinforcing its role as a launchpad for future scientific leaders.
