RIYADH — Ivan Toney delivered a historic performance for Al Ahli, scoring a sensational hat-trick to lead his team to a dramatic 3-2 victory over Al Hilal in a highly anticipated Saudi Clasico at Kingdom Arena.

The English striker's heroics not only secured three crucial points for his side but also handed a major advantage to league leaders Al Ittihad in the title race.

Al Hilal, still reeling from a 4-1 defeat to Al Ittihad just two rounds ago, suffered another setback as their title hopes took a hit.

With this loss, they remain in second place with 51 points, five behind Al Ittihad, who have an opportunity to extend their lead when they face Al Okhdood on Sunday.

Al Hilal mounted a response, with Salem Al-Dawsari pulling one back in the 74th minute, and Marcos Leonardo converting a penalty in the 83rd to bring the game level, igniting hopes of a comeback.

However, Toney was not done yet. The English striker completed his hat-trick in the 87th minute, securing a stunning win for Al Ahli and leaving Al Hilal with mounting pressure in the title race.
