JAKARTA — Saudi Minister of Health Fahd Al-Jalajel met with Indonesian Minister of Health Budi G. Sadikin during an official visit to Jakarta, where the two officials discussed expanding bilateral health cooperation to enhance medical services, particularly for Indonesian pilgrims during Hajj and Umrah.

The discussions focused on hospital management, primary health care, and digital health transformation, with Saudi Arabia sharing its expertise in artificial intelligence for disease diagnosis and hospital administration.

Both sides also explored investment opportunities in pharmaceutical industries and medical equipment.

As part of the visit, an agreement was signed between Saudi Arabia's Health Holding Company and Indonesia’s Ministry of Health to strengthen collaboration in healthcare services.

Another Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Health Holding Company and Nahdlatul Ulama University in Surabaya to support Indonesian health professionals in Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector.
