ALKHOBAR — Substitute Abdulaziz Al-Othman played the hero for Al-Qadsiah, scoring the lone goal of the match shortly after stepping onto the field to secure a vital 1-0 win over Al-Khaleej in the 12th round of the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Othman entered the game in the 81st minute and found the back of the net in the fifth minute of stoppage time, delivering a dramatic victory for his team in a match that had seemed destined to end in a goalless draw.

The win bolstered Al-Qadsiah’s position on the league table, pushing their points tally to 25 as they inch closer to the top teams.

Meanwhile, Al-Khaleej, who had stunned Al-Hilal in the previous round with a thrilling victory, were hoping to continue their unbeaten run. However, their four-match streak without a loss came to an abrupt end against Al-Qadsiah, leaving them stuck at 19 points on the table.
