RIYADH —
Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sport, Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Saudi Games, attended the opening ceremony of the third annual Saudi Games on Thursday.

The ceremony took place at Boulevard Riyadh City and featured a royal anthem, a parade of participating athletes, and the raising of the Olympic and Paralympic Committee flags.



Athletes took the sports oath, and the Minister of Sport officially declared the opening of the games, which will run from October 3 to 17.

The tournament will showcase athletes competing in 52 individual and team sports, including seven Paralympic sports, ten demonstration sports, and 15 youth sports. The total prize money exceeds SR200 million, highlighting the Kingdom's commitment to fostering sports and athletic talent.
