CAIRO — Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Al-Asoumi praised the progress made by Saudi Arabia in the field of human rights and its efforts to rehabilitate and reintegrate prisoners in the society.

He made these comments during his speech at the 9th Arab Interior Ministers' Conference on Human Rights in Cairo on Monday.

Al-Asoumi also commended the efforts exerted by the departments concerned with human rights at Arab interior ministries to strengthen human rights.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and exchanging experience in the field of human rights in Arab countries. — SPA
