AMMAN — Jordan and Egypt on Monday sealed some 12 bilateral deals across various fields as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation, state media reported.

The agreements, signed amid higher committee talks led by the countries' respective prime ministers, run the gamut from political and economic deals to healthcare and financial accords, while the talks reviewed progress on a joint power grid project linking Amman and Cairo.

Boosting bilateral trade, which was worth nearly $1 billion last year, was also in focus during the talks. — Kuna
