Jeddah — The authorities have dismissed as false reports doing the rounds on social media that there are plans to revoke dependents’ fee.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development on Wednesday said on its official twitter account that information circulating in social media is far from the truth.

Similar rumors drew expatriates’ attention on earlier occasions also.

Fee on each dependent of an expat worker came into force in July 2017. First year, the fee was SR100 per dependent per month. Then every year it is being increased by SR100 till the fee reaches SR400 per dependent per month in 2020.
