JEDDAH — Batterjee Medical College (BMC) Science and Technology Jeddah aims to provide special support to community through scholarships, financial support programs, and grants on excellent performance of students said Dr. Ikhlas Abdulaziz Sindi, vice dean of female section and asst. professor of molecular genetics at BMC.
While Speaking to Saudi Gazette, she said the college provides grants in all eight programs. Full and partial grants are offered for tuition fees in addition to various other funding programs to facilitate students. She gave details the details and explained the features of the following scholarship program.
Al-Forsan Scholarship Program, which is established in the academic year of 2008-2009. It covers up to SR600,000 tuition fees for a student. Al-Forsan program is offered to both new applicants and currently registered students in BMC and covers 100%, 50% or 30% of the tuition fees. This scholarship seeks to select pioneer students capable of making exceptional academic success and develop research.
Daaem Program is designed to alleviate the financial pressures and provide financial support to qualified applicants to complete their studies successfully. The program aims to accelerate the process of education and prepare medical and health professionals compatible with the needs of the labor market.
Program Features: Less tuition fee (12% discount) than BMC regular tuition fee. Pay 50% of tuition fee during study period. Remaining 50% of tuition fee to be paid after graduation.
She said a special scholarship program for nursing offered by the Saudi German Hospitals Group (SGHG) where the students will be recruited in SGHG after completing their education in MBC. The scholarship will cover whole study period’s tuition fees and there will be monthly reward to the scholar students.

Dr. Sindi elaborated on the Abna’a Al Shuhada’a Scholarship which is for the development of society and sincere desire to contribute effectively to support the children of the martyrs of the homeland. She said, the college offers special grants to the children of martyrs after passing the admission and registration procedures at the college.
Partial Excellence Scholarships: Academic Award discounts for new candidates based on High School cumulative percentage: 10% discount offer on preparatory year tuition fee, if high school cumulative percentage is from 85% to 89.99%, 15% discount offer on preparatory year tuition fee, if high school cumulative percentage is from 90% ,94.99%., 20% discount offer on preparatory year tuition fee, if high school cumulative percentage is from 95% to 100%.
