HAIL — Police search and investigation teams in Hail have detained a Saudi for allegedly brokering the services of housemaids on the black market. The 20-year-old Saudi smuggled housemaids from Hail to other parts of the Kingdom for SR2,500 a head, police said. A Saudi notified police that his housemaid received a call from a young man trying to convince her to run away from her sponsor. The police asked the housemaid to agree to the caller’s demand and set up a time to meet with the smuggler. The police detained the young man when he arrived at the agreed place.
