Criminal nabbed in Jeddah

JEDDAH – Al-Nuzha police in north Jeddah are investigating criminal charges
against a young Saudi man who was nabbed by the Commission of the Promotion ofVirtue and the Prevention of Vice (Hai’a) officials.

Officials from the Bawadi branch of Hai’a raided the apartment of the 30-year-old Saudi after receiving tips from his neighbors.

Upon entering the premises, they found several revolvers, foreign liquor bottles, and an undisclosed amount of hashish. A 16-year-old Arab girl, who had allegedly ranaway from her family, was also found living with the suspect.

Officials took custody of the girl, found hiding in a corner of the house, and seized all
of the contraband.
