HAIL — An eight-year-old girl died when her brother accidentally shot her, Al-Hayat newspaper reported Saturday.



Col. Abdulaziz Al-Zenaidi, spokesman for Hail police, said King Khalid Hospital notified Al-Aziziyah police station of the shooting incident.



The child was brought to the emergency unit with a gunshot wound in her chest, which eventually led to her death, the hospital said.



In another incident, a citizen notified Hail police that his 20-year-old brother had killed a fellow Saudi.



Col. Al-Zenaidi said security officers who attended the scene found the victim strangled with an electric wire. The suspect was arrested and investigations are under way. — SG
