Saudi Gazette reportMAKKAH — The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Makkah and the Holy Sites verified the identities of the lost and hospitalized Hajj pilgrims through mobile electronic services. The Passports Directorate provides this service through special teams in the guidance centers for lost pilgrims and those admitted to hospitals in the holy sites. The identity check is carried out by the Jawazat teams using biometric verification devices (fingerprints), and then they handle the reports received from the competent and partner authorities to address them immediately.
