Saudi Gazette reportMAKKAH — The Makkah Municipality has prepared more than 30,000 commercial and food outlets in Makkah to serve the pilgrims after Hajj.Of these about 18,500 are commercial stores, 7,109 barber shops, 2,590 grocery stores, and 1,914 restaurants and popular food stores.
All the sub-municipalities in Makkah have intensified field inspections and increased the number of teams. The inspection teams are deployed in different locations and residential neighborhoods where Hajj pilgrims are present in high numbers in order to follow up on the works related to the license, compliance, and monitoring of the markets to ensure food safety.
The municipality has clarified that all the facilities, serving places and commercial markets are fully ready.
