CAIRO, Egypt — Art Jameel, an organization that supports heritage, education and the arts, annouced a summer program of workshops that aim to engage the community in the revival of traditional crafts in rural Egypt.Over four weeks, the program will engage children in Fayoum with workshops focusing on the regions' unique heritage. JEDDAH — The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has opened an immediate investigation into video clips that went viral on social media on Wednesday on an event in Jeddah.The event held by Project X was in contravention of the legal and regulatory procedures in force and it was not licensed by GEA.Originally, the license was for holding another event, but its organizer took advantage of the Authority’s license and extended the holding of the event until Shawwal 11, 1440H, hence, committing a grave and unacceptable violation.GEA said organizers of the event will be referred to the pertinent authorities.
