Pak to mark 68th Independence Day

JEDDAH — The Pakistani Community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will celebrate the 68th Independence Day of Islamic Republic of Pakistan Thursday. Charge D' affairs of Pakistani mission in Riyadh Khayyam Akber will hoist the flag in the embassy's premises at 8:30 hours. A similar flag hoisting ceremony will also be held at the residence of the Consul General of Pakistan Aftab Ahmed Khokher in Jeddah at the same time. Consul Press Sohail Ali Khan said that both the Pakistani embassy and consulate will remain closed on Thursday. All members of the Pakistani community along with their families are cordially invited to attend the flag hoisting ceremony at Riyadh and Jeddah. Pakistan Journalist Forum (PJF) and other known welfare and social forums of the Pakistani community in Kingdom have arranged independence day functions in the evening.
