Pakistan Consulate General Jeddah and World Muslim Congress (WMC) jointly organized a function to present awards to outstanding meritorious students and celebrate the Saudi-Pakistan friendship at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI).

JEDDAH — Pakistan Consulate General Jeddah and World Muslim Congress (WMC) jointly organized a function to present awards to outstanding meritorious students and celebrate the Saudi-Pakistan friendship at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI).



Chief Guest and Pakistan Consul General Aftab Ahmed Khokher and organizer of World Muslim Congress and master of the ceremony presented shields, Dr. Tasneem Zaman, trophies and appreciation certificates to students who excelled in the poster and model competition.



The first 10 students in the poster competition were: Mohammed Humaid, Hukma International School; Mohib Mostafa Romi, Pakistan International School Jeddah - English Section (PISJES); Ayesha Noor and Umair Malik, Hala International School; Alina Mirza, Pakistan International School Jeddah (PISJ); Faisal Abdullah, Hukma International School; Mohammad Ahmad Khan, PISJES; Abeer Faheem, Noor, and Ozair Ali, Hukma International School.



The top 10 winners of the model competition were: Samia Malik, Maha Sibir, and Muna Farooqi, Hala International School; Zainab Abdul Qadir, Soman Mohammad, Hukma International School; Mahnoor, PISJES; Imran Younis, Hukma International School; Neha Shah, Hala International School; Abdullah Zahid, PISJES; Ghassan, Ghassan, PISJES; Hattan Hamed, Umer Kashif, Nada Abdul Hakim, Raghid Mahmood, Shukran Mohammed, Yusra Mohammad, Nadia Mohammed,Gufran Tariq, Bshayer Zuhair, Hukma International School. The best schools in terms of cooperation and participation were Hukma International School and PISJES.



Certificates were given to PISJES School Principal Imran Reza Malik, Sadia Kaleem, Hukma International School, and Tanveer Tariq, Hala International School.



The function began with the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Qur’an by Ahmad Hasan, a student of the PISJ-ES, followed by the national anthems of Saudi Arabia And Pakistan.



Dr. Tasneem Zaman, organizer of World Muslim Congress and master of the ceremony, welcomed the chief guest, Aftab Ahmed Khokher, consul general of Pakistan, guest of honor, spouse of Aftab Khokher, distinguished guests, principal, teaches, parents and students.



Khokher congratulated the students, and briefly stated that the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is  historical, unique, time tested and very deep. “It is beyond any formal mechanism of bilateral  agreement, we support each other and we feel each other.”



Khokhe paid tribute to Dr. Abdullah Omer Naseed, president of WMC, Dr. Tanveer Zaman, director of WMC and their team for joining hand with the Consulate General Pakistan for organizing the first ever Saudi Pakistan friendship festival.



“We will continue this tradition in the years to come to promote this friendship.” He also thanked to Malik and the school staff for hosting the function.
