International schools excel in CBSE exams

International schools in Saudi Arabia have scored excellent results in All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE- Class 10) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

JEDDAH – International schools in Saudi Arabia have scored excellent results in All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE- Class 10)  conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Out of 822 students who appeared for the examination from International Indian School-Jeddah (IISJ), 819 have been qualified and three, including two girls, were eligible for improvement exam.



A total of 43 students scored a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 10 full points. The school scored a total of 616 A1 grades in different subjects. In contrast to the general trend, all the 822 students had opted for the board-based SA-2, said Syed Masood Ahmed, principal of IISJ. “After the introduction of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation System (CCE) by CBSE, the Grade X Examination has become less stressful,” he said.

IISJ chairman and managing committee members as well as the principal have congratulated all the students, teachers and parents for the outstanding performance.



Dammam Indian School:
A total of 966 students appeared for the exam from International Indian School-Dammam (IISD). Two students were absent for the exam and all others  cleared with good score. A total of 299 students scored more than 90 percent marks. E.K. Mohammed Shaffe, principal of IISD, described the result as outstanding.



Peevees Group of Schools: All students appeared for the exam from the Peevees Group of Schools have also scored top results. These included Jeddah’s New Al Wurood International Schools for boys and girls with 33 and 37 students respectively, Riyadh’s Al-Yasmin school for boys (25) and girls (32), and Dammam’s Al-Khozama schools for boys (39) and girls (19). The toppers from Wurood are Asjad, Razeem, Dina Yousuf and Arwa. Al-Yasmin toppers are Salman Mohammed, Riya Byju, Neha Sarah John, Jiyana Roy, and Anjana Basheer while Khozama toppers are Fiona Sharon and Mohammed Azar.

Sreedevi Menon, assistant director of programs at Peevees Group and Principal of New Al Wurood International School for Girls, congratulated students, teachers and parents for the outstanding performance.



Al Mawarid School: All 108 students who appeared for the examination passed with high grades. It is the 8th consecutive year that the school scored 100 percent result in Class 10 exam. Eight boys and three girls secured A1 grade in all subjects while 30 students scored 95 percent and above marks. All others passed with high distinction. School Chairman Abdul Raheem Faizy, Principal Abdul Samad K.A and Manager K.T. Muhammad congratulated the teachers and students for the outstanding performance.



Al-Noor School:  All 63 students who appeared for the exam passed with excellent grades. Fourteen students scored A1 in all subjects. School Principal Prof. M. Abdul Ali and Chairman Abdul Salam Faizy Olavattur congratulated students and teachers for the outstanding performance.  


 


Novel School: All the 39 students of Novel International School-Jeddah passed the exam with excellent grades. Mohammed Zaid and Hiba Anshad scored a full CGPA 10 while five others scored CGPA 9. Twenty students secured distinction  and  all others scored good grades. The school’s owner Salim Hind, Chairman Mujeeb Rahman,  Principal Mohammed Shafeeque P.M, and  Director and Head of the Institution Dr. Padma Hariharan congratulated all the students, parents and teachers for the marvelous performance.
