JEDDAH – Al-Abeer Medical Group signed a medical service contract with the Spanish medical giant Medycsa for providing medical service to workers at Haramain High Speed Rail Project. Al Abeer Chairman Muhammad Alungal and Medycsa Deputy General Manager Juan Dencausa Roa inked the contract at a recent ceremony held at Jeddah’s Park Hyatt Hotel.



Addressing the ceremony, Alungal said: “It is prestigious for Al-Abeer to participate in a project like Haramain Rail connecting the two holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. This is an alliance that my team would always admire and remember pleasantly in future,” he said and added: “We are proud to be recognized by the Haramain project team and we consider this contract as an appreciation from the European community to our quality service. We will work hard and hopefully we would be able to perform beyond their expectations in imparting medical service to their workforce wherever it is called for.”



The ceremony was also attended by Al-Abeer’s CEO Jabir Valiyakath, Project Director Abdul Samad, Group Operations Manager Saleem, Group Service Promotions Chief Emran, Legal advisor and Group Insurance Director Dr. Amal, Medycsa CFO Ignacio Garcia, Deputy General Manager Juan Dencausa Roa, OHO health and safety Manager Diego, Consutrants health and safety manager Mr. Roberto.



Medycsa, which won the contract to extend medical services to Haramain workers, outsourced first aid and ambulatory services to Al-Abeer. The Madrid-based Medycsa is one of the leading medical service providers all over the world for giant construction and other projects. Earlier, a number of Spanish ministers visited Al Abeer’s clinics at Haramain Rail work sites and expressed their satisfaction over the facilities.
