Teen dies of burns from mobile charger

A short circuit in a mobile telephone charger caused the breakout of a fire in a teenager’s home in Hail Tuesday.

HAIL — A short circuit in a mobile telephone charger caused the breakout of a fire in a teenager’s home in Hail Tuesday. The teenager died from to his wounds while being treated at King Khaled General Hospital. Spokesman of the Directorate of Civil Defense in Hail Maj. Nafea Al-Harbi confirmed the 16-year-old died from his injuries due to a fire in his family home in Western Al-Muntazah district. He added that preliminary investigations attributed the blaze to a fire due to a short circuit in a mobile telephone charger that was connected to a power strip close to the teenager.
